A Case Study on Taking Pills Using the Water Soluble and Edible Film of Elders Having Mild Dysphagia

Abstract

|
Objective : This is a case study to examine the satisfaction of the elders who have the mild dysphagia, taking pills with using the water soluble and edible film.
Method : The subjects of this study are three elders who have mild dysphagia, and had been hospitalized between 3rd to 28th of April 2017 at the J Hospital in Joenbuk Province, Korea. During the first two weeks, they were self-evaluated after taking pilles in a normal way. Later two weeks, the subjects were self-evaluated again about their status on taking pilles using the water soluble and edible film.
Results : As a result of the satisfaction survey of this study, the satisfaction of taking pills using the water soluble and edible film were higher than taking pills without the film.
Conclusion : This study conducted a survey on the satisfaction of elders who have a mild dysphagia on taking pills using the water soluble and edible film, and verified the effect of the film.
